WSS v3.0 and MOSS 2007 Service Packs (SP1) - Now Available

Early December 8th 2007, Microsoft released SP1 for Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) v3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007.

If you have WSS v3.0 installed only, obviously the WSS v3.0 service pack is the only update you need to install.  However, if you are running MOSS 2007, you will need to install WSS v3.0 SP1 first, and then proceed to install MOSS 2007 SP1.  See the instructions below for installing these service packs.

Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) v3.0 SP1

The Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) v3.0 Service Pack must be installed first.  The links below can be used to download the service pack and read what updates are being provided.

As with any new installation, I always recommend you run this in your staging environment first; this will provide you with a means of making sure the service pack doesn’t break your specific implementation.
